Content Licence

Hypervision · ABN 20 008 044 700
stockfootage.media · images@hypervision.com.au

1. What you receive

When payment is confirmed—or a free licence is issued—Hypervision grants the customer named on the order a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the selected footage or photograph in one project, within the usage category purchased.

The licence has no expiry and requires no ongoing royalties. Hypervision retains copyright and ownership and may license the same content to other customers.

Your order records the licensed assets, customer, project, usage category and price.

Download access and withdrawn clips

If Hypervision withdraws a clip from the catalogue, it will notify customers who have licensed that clip by email and provide at least 30 days from the date the notice is sent to download their copy. The notice will state the final download date. Download access may end after that date, and customers should keep their own backup copies.

Withdrawal from the catalogue or expiry of download access does not cancel the licence to use footage already downloaded. That licence continues under the terms accepted for the order. Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Usage categories and prices

All prices are AUD per asset, including GST.

CategoryPricePermitted use
Free$0Selected promotional assets designated by Hypervision. Available at no charge in every usage category. The category selected on your order determines the permitted use.
NFP / Schools$10Educational, community and non-commercial organisational projects by schools and not-for-profit organisations. Broadcast, streaming documentaries and TV commercials require the Broadcast category.
Standard$18Websites, social media, online content, corporate videos and documentaries made for web release.
Broadcast / TV commercials$50Television programmes, TV commercials and documentaries made for streaming services or broadcast. Also includes Standard uses.

For this licence, web release means release on websites or social-video platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. Streaming services means film or television distribution services such as Netflix, Stan or broadcaster on-demand services.

Prices may change for future orders. Changes do not alter licences already issued.

3. Editing and client work

You may edit, crop, colour-grade, resize and combine the content with other material as part of your licensed project.

The project may include alternate edits, trailers, cutdowns and promotional versions within the purchased usage category.

You may use the content in work produced for a client. Editors, contractors and the client may receive working files only as needed to produce and use that project. They receive no separate right to reuse the source content.

A separate project requires another licence. Contact Hypervision before expanding a project into a usage category not covered by your order.

4. What is not permitted

You must not:

  • Sell, share, sublicense or distribute the content as a standalone file or stock asset.
  • Upload it to another stock library, downloadable asset collection or template that allows others to extract it.
  • Claim ownership of the original content or register it with an automated rights-claiming system that could restrict other licensed users.
  • Use it unlawfully, deceptively or in a way that falsely suggests a depicted person or organisation endorses a product, service or opinion.
  • Use previews in published or distributed projects.

5. Previews and downloads

Previews are provided for evaluation only.

Clean files become available after confirmed payment or completion of a free licence order. Downloading a file does not transfer ownership or grant rights beyond this licence.

6. Suitability and third-party rights

You are responsible for deciding whether the selected content is suitable for your intended use and for obtaining any additional permissions that use requires.

Unless expressly confirmed in the asset listing, Hypervision does not warrant that copyright clearances for material depicted within a clip, talent/model releases, or building/property releases have been obtained. This includes permissions relating to identifiable people, buildings, private property, trademarks, artworks and other third-party material.

To the extent permitted by law, Hypervision accepts no responsibility for the suitability of the content for your particular purpose or for claims arising from your failure to obtain necessary third-party permissions.

This does not limit Hypervision’s responsibility to hold the rights necessary to grant this licence, or exclude any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Content marked editorial use only must not be used in advertising or endorsements.

7. Credit

Credit is appreciated but not required unless an asset listing expressly states otherwise.

8. Problems and refunds

If a file is faulty, unavailable or materially different from its description, contact images@hypervision.com.au with your order number and a description of the problem.

Hypervision will address the issue and provide any remedy required by applicable law. Change-of-mind refunds are not normally offered once a clean file has been downloaded.

Nothing in this licence excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.

9. Acceptance

By accepting this licence at checkout, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the customer named on the order and that the selected usage category matches the intended project.

Keep your order confirmation as evidence of your licence.
